Why use Drafting Template Region

Can anyone explain, why should Template Regions be used in Drafting? The Help documentation for NX8 says:
Although this command is only available for drawing templates, it is not necessary to create template regions in order to add drafting objects to the drawing template. You can add views, custom symbols, title blocks, and notes to your drawing template without template regions.
So, what's the point of using Regions?
What benefit is there for using Regions?

Thanks for any information.

OK, this is one of the functions associated with something called 'Drawing Automation', which is a feature of the 'nx_drafting_plus' module, which is NOT part of regular 'NX Drafting'. This module is for use where the primary deliverable from an organization would be Drawings, and in many cases 2D only drawings, that is not based on 3D Solid models. These 'Drawing Automation' functions are just what they say they are, ways to automate the production of primarily 2D drawings. So unless you actually have an 'NX Drafting Plus' license, this function is probably not even available to you.

Thanks for the explanation. Well, I have Drafting Plus license, so I can use this this option. I just don't get it, why should I use this? Acording to help documentation, I can do this kind of automation without Template Regions, too.

I was not involved in the development of NX Drafting Plus, however I suspect that this was added in response to a competitive requirement.

Thanks John for helping me with this one.
