I have just discovered this site and am appreciative of the topics discussed here....

I am currently working as both structural and R&D engineer in our company and am looking into the design analysis or procedure of a Wideslab ( half slab in our local term) with welded wire mesh girders.

Wideslabs are precast concrete slabs poured half (or less ) of its designed thickness and then lifted on the structural frame then poured with the remaining thickness. The slab will serve as formwork and integral part of the structure.

I am particularly interested on the design and analysis of this system especially the one using welded wire girders.

There are companies offering this system as a whole but i would like to have a first hand knowledge on this. In our location, this is still a relatively new item.

Kindly give me some tips or point me to a site where i can read further on this matter.

Thanks!
