Will someone please make a journal for me?

Im not certain of the NX level. It was NX1872 and is now NX19?? something.

In modeling we use linked exterior to create bodies of mig welds. These bodies will have a "Solid Body" attribute titled "ID".

In Drafting we will have a view that will show these bodies.

I would like a journal that will turn on the INSERT ANNOTATION, Set the Category to RELATIONSHIPS and the filter to SOLID BODY, and ask the user to select a "Mig Weld".

After they select a mig weld body, the journal will then automatically select the attribute "ID" and then ask the user to place the note.

We will often have as many as 40 to 50 mig welds to place notes to, so I would ask that the journal allows us to keep looping through the process until we hit ok or cancel or something.

With so many welds to place their ID for, currently we have a choice. We can attach a note one by one to each body's attribute, which takes forever, or we can manually look up the attributes and type them in which still takes a while and also allows for typos. This journal is just way beyond my abilities. I have struggled to figure out VB coding even to a minor understanding of it and I never keep the knowledge because I dont use it on an every day basis. Its not an emergency or anything. We have done it the hard way for a long time now, but this would be very helpful in the future.

Thanks

Ken

If anyone does find the time and is willing to do this for me, I would like to add something I forgot to mention.

If these settings can be added to the text, it would be great. We have a button to fix it if you dont add this, but it would save from someone forgetting to do it.

Color = White
Font = Arial Unicode MS
Style = Regular

Height = 2.88
Font Gap Factor = 0
Text Aspect Ratio = .9
Symbol Aspect ratio = 1
Line Gap Factor = .5
Lettering Angle = 0

Sorry for not mentioning it before.

Thanks

Ken
