I'm working on a structure with a "free" roof just like the one in ASCE7 Figure 27.3-4, but instead of a monoslope profile it is a convex curve. What are your opinions on the best way to calculate wind loads for a roof like this? Should I just connect the ends of the are with a straight line and use the angle of that line with Figure 27.3-4, or should I base the analysis on whichever angle along the arc generates the highest wind load? Would it be ok to apply all the loads perpendicular to this line that connects the ends of the arc, or should the load direction stay perpendicular to the arc along its length? Thank you!

I recommend varying the constants with the slope per the open buildings free roof sections, and then simplifying everything by overestimating pressures, such that the analysis is as simple as a textbook example.
