Wind Loading

Hello everyone,

I need help regarding wind loading in CAESAR II stress simulation and as per B31.3. I have prevailing wind direction and all the other wind parameters and my confusion is the wind directions to be considered in the analysis.

Should I consider only one (prevailing) wind direction (sus+wind1)or more than one (sus+wind1, sus-wind1, etc) directions for the analysis?

You must ask yourself whether the wind can blow in other directions (suspect the answer is affirmative)and if that's the case then you must consider the wind from those directions unless you are certain the prevailing wind direction is the worst case for the pipe stresses, support and equipment loads.
