This is probably more of a windows issue than anything to do with NX but perhaps someone here has had the same issue and knows of a fix:
Running Windows XP SP3 32 bit:
When I single click on a NX part file windows installer immediately launches and says it is configuring UGS NX 7.5. The window says "gathering information" for a 20 seconds or so and then I get a window saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the disk and click OK." I click cancel and I get another window that says "error 1706. No valid source could be found for product UGS NX 7.5. The Windows Installer cannot continue." I click ok, the window closes, and I go about my business as if nothing happened.
This has happened about 5 times today. It just started happening. I was using 7.5.3.3 and had been for months without any issues. I upgraded to 7.5.4.4 mp.02 today to see if that would fix anything and I still get the same behavior.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
