Wire List Automation AutoCAD2005

I currently create two separate files documenting wire types and locations for our clients homes. The first is a floorplan with device icons and tag numbers, with the tags being attributes with multiple invisible notations. I then export the attribute info to excel and create the second document. A typical client will have hundreds of wire tags, each with 5-7 different "notes" attached to it.

The problem with this is that it is not dynamic and inconvenient to update when changes are necessary. Is there a way to link attributes to a table created in the same AutoCAD file? What is the standard for how Architectural Door and Window Schedules are made?
