I am looking for a design guide to assist me in the design of boardwalks, fixed piers, and timber retaining walls.

I've done alot of concrete, steel, masonry design but not much wood/timber so any help is appreciated.

"Timber Bridge Design, Construction, Inspection & Maintenance" may not be exactly what you want, but it is a free (.pdf version) and comprehensive basic book. You can download the 940+ pages (32 MB), a chapter at a time, from this link
