We are evaluating an existing triple truss system (see attached photo), and are finding that the members are getting close to capacity, with some reasonable assumptions regarding wood type. However, we have very little information on the plated truss connections. Does anyone have any literature on these connections, or some reasonable assumptions we can make regarding their capacity? I realize they are a pre-engineered recipe, and that I might be grabbing at straws in the dark, but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Find out when the trusses were built and get the ICC ES-reports for the metal plates manufactured at that time. Review your plate hole pattern to the reports until you find the matching report. Use the values in the report to evaluate the plates.

As EOR's we should take the responsibility to design our structures to support the components we allow in our design per that industry standards.
