We have recently started working with engineering drawings that are not done in autocad and are having problems with the dimensions and text. We are getting symbols that don't make sense and incorrect dimensions. I'm not sure what program the drawings are made in but was told that autocad could convert them in to autocad drawings. What can I do? I am using autocad r14. [sig][/sig]

Chantal, Any chance you can get hold of the person/company who did the origonal drawings and ask them to save then as a .dwg or a .dxf. What is the ending of the file, .tcw, .plt or??? that should tell you what they were done in. I haven't converted many drawings, but I 've found the ones I have converted are not always 100%, so be wary...Mike [sig][/sig]

What program created these files? Or, what's the extension?
