I am one step from graduating on faculty in Europe. I have some experience in design and programming in I-DEAS and I am curios is it possible to find job in Canada. Any advice is welcome.

I don't know about any particular openings, but look for Ford Suppliers (Ford uses Ideas), theres lots of us. We have several people here in the detroit area that work in the states, but live in Canada.

I'm in your situation (graduating as engineer in belgium this year)and I would like to work somewhere else. I did my thesis on the comparative study between I-deas MS 8 and Mechanical Desktop 5 + visualNastran. I have to finish this on august 2001. Do you know the opportunities on simulation in I-deas (kinematic chain ... ?)

Ford does not use Ideas for kinematic simulations. Suspension models are animated in Ideas but the analysis is done in Adams.
