Hi,
Could someone help me with this model. I don't have a clue how to draw this in NX. I made something, but it doesn't seem to work. I uploaded prt file and the pdf drawing of the part.
Thanks in advance for help.

it looks like its a wire feeding shaft for a winch, the drawing is not very good at all, but i think it wants a square section groove cut into the shaft, unlike your model with the square section standing up off the shaft, i would think with some tweeking, you could achieve this with your model, the change-over sections at the ends would need some more work though, the problem with bad drawings like these though, is that you don't exactly know what the draftsman wants, because he was unable to properly represent it, or explain it on his drawing.
 
Yes, you are right. It's a wire feeding shaft. We will cut this shape on the bar for Rolls-Royce Marine.
The drawing it is not so bad. It represents everything I need to machine or draw the part in 3D.
And yes, this is a square section groove going around the shaft like a pigtail or something. I was going to draw a solid groove-like shape instead of groove and then use a boolean operation to remove material and get the groove. But the section was twistting or rails during sweeping, but I handled it. The problem is, that when I use boolean operation, the bottom of the groove is not on the same level as it should, but the depth is changing. And I can't handle it.
 
Okay well I guess the attached is more or less what you may have wanted. I used a slightly different method for the sake of it because driving any shape precisely with sweeps can be somewhat tedious as compared with a simpler method where possible. The only fault I really found apart from the sweeps needing more guides would have been that your original sketch had a gap in it that I very simply corrected.

I have not in any way shape or form bothered to interpret the drawing you supplied any errors of that nature I'll leave to you to check and correct.
