If a welder has done performance qualifications for GTAW for the following:
P1 to P1 with F-6.
P43 to P43 with F-43
And
WPS’s and PQR’s support welding P1 to P1, P8 to P8 and P43 to P43

Is the welder qualified to weld P8 to P1, P43 to P1, P43 to P8?

Yes, for base metals per QW 423.1 and by virtue of having qualified with F-No 6 and F-No 43 filler metals. You do know that you will need to also have WPS's and supporting PQR's for the actual dissimilar metal weld combinations for the welder’s.

Yes, I thought that was the case.
Thank you very much for your help.
