Hi Team,

Recently our welding plant in Perth closed & starts operations at another country with new welding machines.
Does the WPS/PQR procedure used at old plant can be transferred to new plant or any other procedure for sharing accordance ASME IX?

Please advise.

A new location, under the same ownership and same banner is good to go.

WPSs and supporting PQRs are considered intellectual property. If I purchase company XYZ, their welding documentation becomes my property. I can use them as long as the new company is noted to reflect the change in ownership.

Best regards - Al

If you are manufacturing items to the BPVC with stamping, you will also need to address this in your Code Quality Manual.
