Wrap extrude around another solid

Is there an easy way to extrude something like a lattice around a tube, including bends? 3D printing can produce some crazy geometry, but I am having a tough time figuring out a way to model something like this.

Can you at least provide a picture of what it is that you're attempting to model? Also, what version of NX are you running?
