Writing a paper, need some help

Hello I am writing a paper for a required humanities class and was wondering if three people could take a little time to answer these three questions I would really appreciate it. A little background I am a sophomore transferring to University of North Dakota to purse a bachelors in Petroleum Engineering, thanks.

1. Why did you choose to become a Petroleum Engineer?

2. What do you think your work contributes to the world?

3. What do you like and dislike about being a Petroleum Engineer?

I'm not sure that eng-tips.com was the source that your Humanities prof had in mind for this exercise. Also, homework is frowned upon at this site. I am not going to spend any time on this because it will probably be deleted later today.

"Belief" is the acceptance of an hypotheses in the absence of data.
"Prejudice" is having an opinion not supported by the preponderance of the data.
"Knowledge" is only found through the accumulation and analysis of data.
The plural of anecdote is not "data"

I agree. I think your professor is interested in your reasons, not ours.
If that was a marketing question, it would really be misdirected on us here. I'm sure you get the point.

I think there is a bigger issue here. If we waste our time answering his question, in this venue and format, he wouldn’t even have to pick up a pencil to complete his assignment. Certainly, not give it any thought or do a little rephrasing. All he’d have to do is copy and paste your answers, although your phrasing and sentence structure might come across too grown up to his Prof.

FutureUNDPE.... Why don’t you get off the couch and off your lazy butt, introduce yourself to a few real Professional Engineers and ask them if they would take the time to answer some questions about their profession for you, because you are interesting in becoming an engineer. Then, ask them what kind of box lunch they want, so you are using their time judiciously. You only need to buy one box lunch, because you will be taking notes as he/she answers your questions and gives you their opinions. Then you go back and write your own report, with a bit of your own thought and effort. You get the professional interaction, the thinking, organizing and writing exercise, etc., and maybe a good grade on the report. I think that’s what your Prof. wanted you to do.
