I am trying to model a sanitary sewer system using XP SWMM utilizing the RDII method for subcatchment runoff calculations. Previously, I have used the SCS Hydrology routing method in XP SWMM to estimate the subcatchment response to rainfall, but was recently asked to use RDII.
When looking in the XP SWMM Manual (Version 10.6), it mentions that you can use RDII and there is a box you can check within the runoff node and subcatchment section. However, I don't understand how to tell the program to use the RDII method and variables without also selecting a routing method. Isn't RDII a routing method in itself?
Any advice on how to model subcatchments with this method would be appreciated.
