I saw in a posting for the EE PE exam a reference to Yarborough's green book. I'm not familiar with this. Can anyone provide further information so I can possibly purchase a copy.
I'm planning on taking the PE exam in April 2004 and need to brush up as I have been out of school for over 20 yrs.
thank you

This book is available from the PPI(Professional Publications, Inc) website: There is also a FE/PE Test Forum and a lot of resources for the tests, though it can be a bit too 'commercial' sometimes.

DanDel,
i searched the ppi website but could not find any reference to Yarborough - is that the author's name?
thank you

The author's name is Raymond B. Yarbrough, PhD, PE. The book is 'Electrical Engineering Reference Manual for the PE Exam'. My copy is the fifth edition. Apparently, PPI issued the 6th edition with a different author, John A. Camara, PE. I cannot speak for this author or new edition, but the book by Yarbrough was very helpful. I'm not sure if the Yarbrough book is still available.
I also used the book by Potter, but this was much less helpful and filled with errors.

wbd,

I have this publication, along with a book of solved problems from the main text. The main text was very helpful to me during my PE exam. I'd be happy to sell you both the main text and the solved problems book cheap. Email me at mpparent@us.ibm.com if you're interested.
