1. Do condenser & evaporator pressure drop curves exist for these units?
2. Is there an acceptable oil loss specification for the new style shaft seal, example: 25 ml/week?
3. What's the maximum spec's for shaft alignment? Our measured vertical was 6.9 Angularity, 7.3 Offset. The horizontal readings were fine.
4. What is the shaft seal oil pressure specification?

Unfortunately, I cannot answer most of your questions. We have a few York compressors in a CO2 liquification plant. The refrigerant compressor is a different model than you list, but may be similar. Our York machines use a strange flex shaft coupling with a single diaphgram on one end. The problem is not so much what alignment offset to use as much as it is how to do the alignment. The only way that York aligns that coupling is with a rim an face method that is questionable at best. We made up jigs so we could laser align that coupling. The other problem with our has to do with the thermal growth considerations. Ours are foot mounted and bolted down solidly on all four corners. With no accomodation for thermal growth, it is difficult to predict where it will go and how far. York should provide you will expected thermal growth targets and acceptable seal leakage rates. I am tied up on an overhaul now and can't get number for seal leakage and alignment offsets for our machines.
