we have a rosemount 3051s differential flow transmitter mounted on a RO SKID.As part of calibration we checked the instrument before installation and found the transmitter showing very large error in zero(420mbar)when the calibrate range in 0 to 250mbar.so we tried to do zero trim the instrument from field communicator but it failed and showing that excess correction.anyone know how to solve this problem? waiting for your help...
regards,

Is it possible the transmitter has been grossly over-ranged causing a permanent offset,
This could happen due to thermal expansion if the transmitter were isolated by a valve.

Surely you can access a copy of the manual, and look at the "troubleshooting" section.
It does sound to me that you have a blockage over the element(s), or at least a partial blockage. I hope you did not allow trash into the line upstream.[peace]
