When I zip or rar drawings (*.slddrw) and check the created zip or rar file, I allways have errors. This is very strange because:
- it only happens with drawings (parts and assemblies are OK)
- if I perform several compression checks, the files with errors reported may vary (files that returned errors in previous checks may pass in later checks, with no modification of the zip/rar file)
- when decompressed, the drawings (even those with reported errors) are OK I and I can perfectly work with them

Does anybody as the same problem? Does someone knows what is causing the error?

Thanks

If you have the files open in SW, when you zip or rar them, then it will give you errors. Close the files then Zip them.

It's not that type of error that I am talking about.

When I zip files, I do it with all files closed. The error is on the winzip report, when I select Actions\Test, as it would happen with any other file with bad CRC.

In fact there is no bad CRC (or SW would not be able to work properly with the decompressed file). In the begining I thought that winzip and SW where not compatible. But the same happens with winrar.

Thanks

The only time I get errors with winzip is like what listed above.

Being in Tech Support now, I zip files all the time to send to my customers and so do the people that I support, when they send me files.

I just checked some files I made and under Actions\Test I get "NO Errors Detected in compressed data ....
Testing.... OK" I tested some of most recent ones I made and ones sent to me.

For all parts, assemblies and drawings there were no errors.

If you have all the files closed in SW when you zip them...then I have no idea what would be causing such an error.

Good Luck,
