I have a framework constructed from plate and I am trying to use Cosmos designer to evaluate stresses at joints to size the welds.
I can select the lines between plates to get stresses in the x, y and z directions and then resolve these to get a stress at the joint which in turn I can you to evaluate required weld size.
The problem I have is that there is the model is fairly alrge and comlex and selecting each line / joint will be fairly time consuming. I could select all lines then export the results out to excel and evaualte the data but I would like to avoid this.
Is there anyway to write a macro such that I can select a joint and run it to give me stresses in the x, y and z direction which in turn I could add code to, to size the weld?
