Changing Chart Options

I am looking at a Design Check plot. When I go into Chart Options to change the scale to a defined scale, the change is only temporary. After I change plots and reopen the original plot, the changes are removed. How do I get the changes to "set in".

I am using SW2006 SP4.1, and CosmosWorks 2006 SP4.0.
