vba code for updating attributes in acad drawings

Can someone please point me in the right direction for linking csv files containing attributes to 2d drawings and saving the drawing under another name in another location. The drawings have two blocks called border and dims. the information for renaming the drawings is also in the csv file. The dim block for each drawing is stored in a single cell. A couple of lines of code to get me started would be great or a suggested book which might include this sort of task.
