Not sure if anyone has any experience with this. Here is my senario I'm trying to transfer information from the "Gantt Chart" view to the "Resource Usage Sheet". Specifically all of the tasks have a unique identification number used in another report ( A 5 digit number ). Typically the managers use the Resource Usage sheet to update hours etc for each person on each project. But they need this Unique Identification number to align things. Right now all they can see is the project name under the resource, I cant get any other information from the Gantt View to transfer over. Their seems to be some kind of invisible barrier. Any help would be awesome.

There are two different tables that are being used. One is a task table, the other is a resource table. The fields are not shared between the tables. Try this; instead of using the Resource Usage view, try the Task Usage view and then group by Resource. You should be able to pull the unique identification number into this view.

Hope this helps!

What you've got to understand is that where a task has a resource allocated to it Microsoft Project creates an assignment. The assignments appear in italic on the Task and Resource Usage views. If you give a Task a UIN this can be transfered to the assignment and it will then appear on both the Resource and Task Usage Views.
