A quick question on the use of steam heat coils in a #6 fuel oil tank...
600,000 gal tank, heated to 140 F by using 160# steam in a multi-tube coil at bottom of tank.
NFPA 31, section 1-15.3, limits steam pressure to 15 psig. Is this applicable to an outside storage tank system, or only to feeder tanks used to directly feed boilers or furnaces?
