Hi,

What parts do i need to build a small thermoforming machine that employs a vacuum? Cost is very essential and would like to be kept to a minimum, so everyday substitute parts can be used.

Thanks

I built two rigs of different sizes. Both used home made wooden boxes about 2.5 inches deep. Joints were nailed and glued and calked. A hole in one end was adapted to fit the hose on a shop vac. Patterns were screwed to a plywood plate with standoffs on the back and strategically placed vacuum holes. Wooden frames that would fit just outside the box were made to hold the plastic for heating and forming. C clamps serves to hold frames/plastic together. The kitchen oven served as heater, supplemented by a heat lamp when needed.

Your wife will be upset by this use of her stove. The only solution is to do the work while she is out shopping. This can get expensive.
