Dear friends,

If I want to measure the signal from PT100 and PT50 sensors, how is the measuring unit? It will be measured by Calibrator.

And for thermal couple? Is its signal in Volt?

You would measure the two PTs with an ohm meter. One should measure about 100 ohms and the other about 50 ohms at room temperature. The value should climb if you grab them with your finger.(I'm speaking only about two wire RTDs)

A TC should measure volts. Way less than 1Volt. Millivolts.

If you grab it with your fingers, the value should raise or drop, depending on the polarity you've hooked up with your Digital Volt Meter(DVM).

I think PT100 means 100 Ohms, Platimnum at 0 degrees C.

If you measure with a calibrator as you've stated, you can measure in whatever unit you want (F,C, ohms for RTDs and F, C, mV for TC). You just have to tell the calibrator what you are measuring and what Unit you want.
