Hi
does anyone know how to specift spring stiffness to a compression only support? I know that a frictionless or frictional contact can be used, but the problem is the stiffness associated with these type contacts is not a real spring stiffness, just a relative value to allow for some penetration to help convergence. What I need is compression only support that has actual stiffness and shows actual settlement on the support. Alternatively, if we can make an elastic support to act aas compression only?
Thanks to all who respond.
