I recently took receipt of a steel forging made of, what I thought was going to be A-723 Grade 3 Class 4.
This is for an ASME pressure vessel.
The material certs from the forge refer to the material as B50AF480. I have a call into the forge to find out what this stuff is, but in the meantime can anyone shed any light on this.
I have searched a number of material websites but have been unable to find any reference to this material.
Any help in figuring out what this stuff is would be greatly appreciated.
