V5 R20 Change defining view of a section view 1

Syncronize View Definition might do what you are looking for, if I understand the explanation of the issue correctly. Right click the section, navigate to Section A-A object, then just past 1/2 way down.

Thanks but this didn't help.
I really need something that points the section view to a new view.

double click the section line and switch the orientation using the proper function in the toolbar. this will reverse section orientation. not sure section view children will follow properly.

Thanks, but the problem is not the direction of the section view.
It is the rotation of the defining view of the section.
I am not sure how it was generated in the first place but it is has the XZ plane rotated 16 degrees from the model which means that all the child views are incorrect.

well with the same double click you can define a new line that will replace the existing one if you use the replace profile function.

Thanks for your suggestions but these only change the way the section is defined from a particular view.
What I need to do is change the definition from one parent view to a new parent view.

Can you just modify the projection plane of the defining view?

Aside from that, the functionality you're describing sounds like a V4 functionality that if V5 replicated it, I haven't found it yet.

Thanks for the suggestions. It would seem that it's not possible to change a section view's parent to a new view.
I have now recreated all the views below the original parent.
