How to set appearance/color in NX 8 1

Hi,

I was trying to apply different colors to components in an assembly by drag and drop different materials/colors, but it doesn't work. It worked just fine before, is there anything I turned off/on accidentally?

Are you in one of the rendering modes where you can see these material colors and textures?

Press MB3 over the graphics area and under 'Rendering Style', select 'Studio'.
