Using Rf waveforms to locate corrosion

Can anyone tell me where I might find some information regarding the use of an ultrasonic Rf waveform to locate bottom-side corrosion on tank floors. I know that pulse-echo sound waves are more suited for this task, but I need some more information to back up one of my theories. The APIGUY....
