i'm new to the list and design/build exhibits for science centers/children's museums. currently working on an elliptical pool table (launch ball at one focus and it goes into hole at other).
proposed to client using pool table materials, but they didn't like the idea....since they use the polybutadiene for golf ball cores, thought it might be the material to try...can anyone point me to a source? is it available in strip/sheet form? should i look at another material?
criteria, using a hard ball, is that it has to have a fairly accurate bounce, be reasonable tough to tear, available in smallish quantities.
thanks!
