Any better suggestions how to do this connection? Built up truss on (3)-2x12 on 6x6. Was going to use Simpson 1212HT on each side of beam to column. Tie down from truss to beam as needed. Option 2 would be strap up and around the top of the beam back down. I think this looks better, and more capacity.

How much uplift do you need? Truss to Beam connection looks flimsy compared to Beam to Column connection and is only on one side of the beam. The Simpson 1212HT uses 5/8" dia. bolts. Watch your edge distance.

BAretired,
Its about 900 lbs each side of the truss. I am still debating too about the truss beam connection, its geometry is hard to get normal clips to work. I actually think I will use 4 H2.5 straps (2 front, 2 back). The beam to column connection I wanted something that would also give it some stiffness if this thing racks a bit, kind of a tension/compression tie each side of the beam.

The 1212HT calls for about 4" edge distance. No issues there.

I'm personally more partial to this connection when the beam is narrower than the column, and the column is a standard dimensional size.
