I was trying to determine how you can subscripts to variable names in Bricscad. Just discovered if you enter in 'Text Override' the following:

\A1;text\H.66;\S^abc

The dimension value is 'text' and the subscript is 'abc' with the subscript text equal to 0.66 x text height.

I often use Bricscad to make pictures in SMath and for variables, I can now enter them in the CAD drawing that I import into SMath. Can't upload either image or file... site is broken.

The site requires javascript to be enabled to upload files.

Maybe cloudflare.com and mathjax.org in addition to engineering.com

IRS & 3D... may have an issue with file names... Java is up and running... after I stripped the name down and eliminated spaces and & sign, the file on the next thread loaded OK, but only after I changed the file names. <Win><Shift><S> doesn't load the file.

Probably the spaces. File uploads can contain lethal characters - such as "&" - which prevent downloads until substituting the ASCII hex equivalent.

thanks 3D... was thinking that, but wasn't curious enough to find out...

While other OS' and the internet are more tolerant odd file names, Windows still adheres to the most limited character set for filenames, and certainly, spaces could be a problem

The original files were created in Win10 without any issues.

I should have added that if you move the text that follows the carat to in front of it, it prints as a superscript.

like: \A1;text\H.66;\Sabc^

Dik

Win 10 is after the web developers decided what characters to use as separators in URLs.

yup... thanks 3D...

This is what I've settled on for most of my program drawings:

\A0;text\H3;\S^abc... adds the subscript abc to the word 'text'.

Rather than think climate change and the corona virus as science, think of it as the wrath of God. Feel any better?
