Does anybody have experience with a transformer being damaged by ferroresonance? Particularly where the condition was interrupted fairly quickly and failure wasn't catastrophic? I don't yet know the details of the transformer failure, but apparently there was considerable current when it was switched on, phase at a time, but not fault level current. Transformer is wye-wye, H0 and X0 internally connected and grounded; on a 13kV feeder with lots of underground cable. If the transformer had had a delta high-side rather than a wye, I'd be pretty certain it was ferroresonance; but it's much less common for grounded wye high-sides. Thanks.
