Hi everyone

I am trying to cut a square out of a cylinder using parallel plane,
but every time I try this I get zero thickness error and I am not sure what I am doing wrong,
since I have tried this multiple times before and have never come across this before.

The cut and the error can be seen in the attachment.

I would appreciate some assistance with this problem.

Cheers,
Yentel

Yentel,

I am a SolidWorks guy, but I suspect the problems are similar.

If I have a round part 100mm in diameter, and I cut a 50mm hole in it 25mm off centre, the edge of the hole exactly corresponds with the OD. SolidWorks does not understand that, and probably, neither does SolidEdge. Try moving your feature or adjusting its size by some tiny amount.
