Thanks... I was thinking that the relative size of the fastener would be working correctly... outside one of the offices I worked for, they has SS railings with galvanised anchorage... and there was noticeable corrosion.

I should have mentioned that the condition is fully exposed to the elements... summer and winter... climate is somewhat dry, but not arrid.

I've seen a large stainless steel nut fitted to a galvanised steel anchor bolt, installed near the ocean. The bolt threads were fairly corroded.
