I am going to be providing geotechnical engineering services on the side and am looking into professional liability, or errors and omissions, insurance. Basically, I will only be performing subsurface investigations for residential structures in south Alabama and the Florida panhandle. I have prepared hundreds of these geotechnical exploration reports when I worked in the private sector, and feel comfortable doing it again, on the side, for a little extra cash. I am currently receiving requests for cost estimates and would like to get insured as soon as possible.
Do any of you have any recommendations as to who I should get my insurance through?
