I am looking for a circuit to convert 0-10 vdc to 4-20 ma. Accuracy and linearity are not critical.

Are you looking to make one, or buy one. Convertors of this type are readily available on the market, Weidmuller, Entrelec and Phoenix Contact all have devices that will do this.

I would prefer to build one. It is a small application with about 10 required.

Then it is in your best interest to buy one. Why go through all of the toruble of building and troubleshooting on a very small quantity?

No circuit with an op-amp is easy. Those things are notoriously sensitive to layout / construction.

Check out Burr-Brown and Analog Devices - they both do single-chip solutions for converting 0-1V and 0-10V to 4-20mA in 2 and 3-wire.

Regards, Mike.
