We are creating 5 new openings in an existing CMU wall, assuming it is not grouted we will grouting the remaining parts of the wall before demolishing . The wall is load bearing. My question is what is the maximum width of the opening according to any building code TMS FOR EXAMPLE? and what software is good for analysis CMU wall?

For this hand calcs will be best. Maximum allowed opening is the maximum opening that results in stresses just below allowable.

Probably a shear wall, so don't forget to look at that.

Pretty sure somebody else just posted the same question a few weeks ago. Try searching.

I'm not aware of any size restriction. It's a matter of designing the wall for the new openings and checking to see if the lateral design has been compromised.

Rather than think climate change and the corona virus as science, think of it as the wrath of God. Feel any better?

I like IES products, and QuickMasonry might help you with this. You can get a free trial, and if you like it, buy it. If those magenta squares are masonry openings, I'd be inclined to put them over the doorways so that they don't interfere with the natural arching action of the wall.
