Checking if anyone can provide or point to a resource on considerations in the design of drilled piers when the excavation
is hydro-excavated instead of auger-drilled.
Any information such as potential reduction in soil resistance capacity would be appreciated.
Would this normally be addressed in the Geotech. Report?

Hydro excavation for drilled piers is extremely uncommon. Would never be addressed in a geotech report as standard.

More information is need though, how exactly was it excavated? What equipment was used.

I thought hydro excavation was only for very short depths and mainly for exposing services. So limited to 2m or so??
