Any tips on removing PTFE liner? 1

This type of liner has PTFE fiber on top of adhesive resin which is on top of a backing material. It's really tough to peel it off completely by hand without scrapping the metal below.

Machine it out on a lathe would be best if you have one available.

You could also use heat to soften the adhesive. Be warned, if you exceed 500°F, PTFE gives off toxic acid gasses. The adhesive is probably acrylic and has a very low melting point. Place the bearing in an oven at 350 °F and the liner should pull right out.
 
Thanks for the tip, even though the liner is a high temp liner (up to 600 F), I think your method probably will still work.
