Are formed race inner surface w/ liner typically controlled geometrically?

I have a snap-assembly bearing with a non-machinable liner. It seems that NDT is the only method of typical inspection after assembly, so I guess it wouldn't make sense to apply any dimensional constraints on race's inner spherical surface nor at the liner? So long the ball is geometrically controlled, the mating condition between the ball, liner and the race will just be constrained by performance standard such as AS81820? (Like radial play & no-load rotational breakaway)
