Per the railroad requirements, we spec out "splash boards" to keep snow, etc. from getting thrown off the edge of the bridge onto the railroad tracks by snow plows. These are aluminum panels along the safety fence. My google-fu is apparently weak today, and I'm having some trouble finding info on the manufactured panels so that I know what weight to design for. Anybody know what terms to search for to find the specs for these?

Here in New Brunswick Canada, on many overpasses over highways and railroads, the 'splash boards' are 4x8 sheets of plywood, strapped to the railings with stainless strapping or large zip ties. They are removed in spring, installed in late fall.

I don't think much 'engineering' goes into these ones.

UP and BNSF won't let us get away that, unfortunately, TenPenny.
