Hi all,
I am currently in the process of designing a spring with a desired fatigue life of at least 1 million cycles. I have found a bunch of info on fatigue stresses and a few screenshots of programs that can output expected number of cycles before failure, but no equations behind them. Are there any publicly available programs, or sets of equations that I can use to determine the cycle count of a spring using basic spring dimensions and use case data (wire diameter, deflection, loads, etc)? I am aware of the equations in the textbook below (section 4.4), but they only give failures/million hours and I just want total number of cycles before failure.
Thanks
