In journal bearings, I have heard pressure dam bearing, plain cylindrical bearings etc.
recently, I have heard the terms "double offset journal bearing and offset-elliptical journal bearing". What is the difference between these two journal bearings?
What are the advantages of double-offset journal bearing over single-offset journal bearing?
