I want to check a valve if is it cover the asme 16.34 requirements. I have a ball valve, 3pc, 1000 wog. It has 3.8 wall thickness, and it is less than thicknesses at table 3a. I saw a formula at appendix b, which is t= 1.5( Pxd / (2S - 1.2P)) in which s= constant 7000psi. Can I use this formula, or which formula should I use?
