Hello all,
I have a question about the unit system of simulation results in Abaqus. I have built a simulation model and modeled my model sketch directly in Abaqus in millimeters. My input data for the hyperelastic material model are MPa and strain (specified as 0.6 instead of 60%). Furthermore, I have specified a forced deformation in millimeters. Now I query the displacement at a targeted node via the Field Output, this should be output in millimeters by Abaqus, right? Additionally I have a Field Output that tracks the reaction forces on the surface of my model where the forced deformation was applied. Are the reaction forces I summed up on the surface of the simulation results now in Newton? Or already in Newtons/mm? If they are in newtons, is it legitimate to simply divide the reaction forces by the contact area manually in post-processing? Is there also a way for Abaqus to directly output the reaction force per area, i.e. N/mm² = MPa?
Thanks a lot
